COUNCIL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASPIRATIONS & STRATEGIES PLAN FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS

Objectives: Senior Staff Housing

Urgent request for 2 x 3 b/r senior staff houses in 2003/04 funding requesting is $180,000.00 the following financial year 2004/05 funding requesting is $190,000.00

Objectives:NARS funding re: Major renovations to 26 council houses

2003/04 Anticipated funding requesting is $360, 000.00

2004/05 and 2005/06 Anticipating funding of $340,000.00 each financial year

Objectives: Demolish & remove 6 old derelict homes

2004/05 Anticipated funding requesting is $60,000.00

Objectives: Sealing of the Community Airstrip

2004/05 New works program estimated cost is $400,000.00

Objectives: Lighting at the Airstrip and runway

2004/05 New works program estimated cost is $200,000.00

Objectives: Erection of 2 Ablution Blocks

2004/05/06 New works program estimated cost is $75,000.00 each

Objectives: Water system & Turf Football Oval

2005/06 New works program estimated cost is $120,000.00

Objectives: Trees planting & Fencing all council houses

2004/05/06 Anticipated funding required is $119,000.00 each year for the next 3 years

Objectives: Upgrade council workshop, plant & equipment e.g.

2003/04/05 (a) Funding is required to purchase an 8 tonne flat top truck, upgrade council workshop and install workshop equipment e.g., electric saw, tyre repair machine, hoist, and miscellaneous tools etc.

(b) 2004/05/06 Funding is required for the purchase of a grader, front-end loader, 2 x 8 tonne tip trucks.

Objectives: Community Swimming Pool and upgrade basketball court.

2003/04 New and upgrade community projects estimated & $450,000.00
